LAB PREPS
Waoh!...Its been a while and I must say that a whole lot has happened between my last post and now. Took the CCIE written earlier than I expected to(for 'political reasons' I must say) and of course I passed, also forayed into D-link certifications (hoping their certs will become the next best thing after sliced bread soon) and I'm proud to say that I have gotten five out of the seven certs (you should be clapping by now...lol ) they have to offer. Still keeping up with my CCIE lab studies, books, INE's ATC video, a Scott Morris instructed audio class, INE's blog, IEOC, Cisco Learning Network. Just listing them makes me feel the only thing I do with my time is study. Still not satisfied with what I know but one thing remains sure and that is, I'm going to sit for the lab exam this year.
I hope to be back here soon, till then, I'll keep studying and you keep doing your own thing.
Time for my signature....*grin*....
Lets go IE!!!

I have been doing a lot of studying and it is only right for me to take the first step by sitting for the CCIE R&S written exam, I should be taking it in about 2 weeks time (say the first week in October). And after that preparation will have to change gear, enough theory, enough story, welcome configuration, welcome doc cd, welcome online rack rental, welcome tokens.
Its been interesting so far and I hope to see this through to the end (end of the first part I mean) which is to get my CCIE number. I'm so so anxious to get it, but I guess I'll just have to be patient till when I'm well equipped and prepared to take the lab exam (I'm already getting ahead of myself, I haven't even written the written exam and I'm here talking about the lab...well just a little while longer before I can confidently talk about the lab).
Wish me luck and remember me in your prayer(if you do pray).
I'll be dropping some more lines soon and I'll try to do that soon.
Lets still go IE!!!!!!!

Whao! Its been a while. Have been so so busy. Just thought I had stop by to drop a few lines.
I have been reading up the first major topic in the blue print as written by Cisco. The first topic being layer 2 technology i.e switching and all the things involved with it, spanning tree, DTP, VTP, VLAN, and then frame relay switching as well.
Its been fun but there have been times when I just got tired of reading and would have given anything to get on to the live equipment and start configuring but considering the fact that I have to pay for rack time I guess I'll just be patient till I have covered reasonable ground to be able to confidently walk through at least 60% of the labs in the workbook I got from INE.
All in all its been fun and am looking forward to getting my number.
Can't wait, lets go IE!!!!!
